Finland is firmly committed to making progress as a model country in nutrient recycling. The Finnish Government is launching a three-year experimental and piloting programme for nutrient recycling that begins with an international seminar the 20th of April in Helsinki.

The objective of the seminar is to introduce initiatives that enhance the recycling of nutrients contained in manure and wastewater sludge. The seminar gives an overview of political and administrative measures, as well as presents success stories in nutrient recycling from various parts of Europe. It brings together businesses, research, administration and NGOs to finding new solutions to nutrient recycling.

The forum will be arranged in cooperation with several actors that work with nutrient recycling from agriculture and wastewater, including the EUSBSR PA Bioeconomy and PA Nutri. More information if you click here.
