Thematic link to the Forum: Safe and Sustainable Baltic Sea Region for Future Generations.

Description: The workshop at the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2023 will be the kick-off event for the joint PA Education and PA Health project – “Economy of Wellbeing of People”, financed by the Swedish Institute. The project aim is to develop a Baltic Sea Region-wide platform for long-term and innovative collaboration. The platform will be the first cross-PA flagship in Europe where stakeholders co-create solutions delivering to the indicators of the EUSBSR Action Plan. The flagship members will form a cross-sectoral and multilevel mosaic of expertise designed for regional prosperity creation.

 

Workshop agenda:

Panel: How to introduce a Wellbeing Economy model for building a sustainable and prosperous Baltic Sea Region with Mr. Pasi KorhonenDirector of EU and International Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Finland

Panel: Strategic health in all policies approach for active and healthy ageing in the BSR with Ms. Inese Stepina, Deputy Director General, Adviser on EU and International Affairs, Employers Confederation of Latvia

Group sessions: Together we will discuss various topics for developing a sustainable working life and active and healthy ageing, and how to develop a good collaboration for achieving this. Participants will be invited to choose their group and interest.

1.    A sustainable working life with various challenges for working conditions such as ageism.

2.    Lifelong learning with upskilling and retraining of the workforce and challenges in organising education. 

3.    Healthy ageing and challenges related to staying longer in the labour market.

4.    How to organise the exchange of experiences and co-creation of solutions with stakeholders from different countries and sectors?

5.   Mapping potential stakeholders to engage for co-creational work when tackling the regional challenges.
