Mr. Johan Magnusson, Team Leader, Directorate General Regional and Urban Policy, European Commission

Johan leads the Baltic – Danube team in charge of the macro-regional strategies and Interreg programmes in these regions. He is also coordinating the 4 macro-regional strategies on behalf of the European Commission. Mr. Magnusson has worked in the European Commission since 1997, mainly with cohesion policy, rural development and maritime policy. He has also been working as Head of Unit in the Swedish national administration.

 

Ms. Anna-Leena Seppälä, VASAB Chair, Director of Land Use Unit, Built Environment Department, Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Finland

Anna-Leena has a degree in Architecture. She has been the Director of the unit in charge of land use planning and maritime spatial planning, at the Ministry of the Environment, since 2019. She has a long professional career mainly in the field of land-use planning and historic preservation, and she has served in the public sector both at the regional and local levels. She has also worked as a university lecturer and a designing architect.

 

Mr. Grzegorz Poznanski, Director General, Council of the of the Baltic Sea States

Grzegorz is a Polish career diplomat and civil service member, ambassador to Estonia, since 2020 Director General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Council of the Baltic Sea States in Stockholm.
